THE BAND

TIM TRUMPER // drums

As if representing Australia in the 1988 and 1992 Olympics for Fencing wasn’t enough, Tim provides the backbone and the driving beat behind the RABS hit songs. The feature article in the 2013 March edition of Rolling Stone detailed his issues with Groupies and Drugs…..he never had either! Tim leads a relatively quiet life these days flying his fleet of Lear jets (19 in total) and collecting stamps from New Guinea.

TIM ROYLE // guitars

After winning the 1981 Nobel Peace prize, Tim joined the RABS and commenced the somewhat rocky road to stardom. Tim is a master guitarist who is often lauded by contemporaries such as Tommy Emmanuel and Slash, and often receives invitations to record on major artist albums. Unable to name these artists due to legal reasons (but one rhymes with You Blue and another The Lead Hop Billie Leppers), he remains committed to The Rabs. Tim is keen on pressing dried flowers and collects insects.

ANDREW FINCKH // guitars

Andrew is a Martial Arts black belt which has enhanced his stagecraft and improved his fretboard dexterity. Often the band will be mid song only to look over and see Andrew executing a high upside-down scissor kick while playing a lead solo. Andrew plays guitar and is often compared to Keith Richards (two eyes, one nose and one mouth). He also enjoys pottery and spends hours in his herb garden.

RICHARD HERRING // keyboards

Diagnosed at the age of 5 as a genius, it was later discovered at the age of 22 that the tests were mixed up and he was actually in the lower quartile of intelligence. Notwithstanding this, Richard studied hard and attained the role of Director of Piano Studies at the Berklee College of Music at the age of 24. But the RABS were a magnet too strong and the success they have attained is testament to having made the correct decision. Richard enjoys competitive dog grooming.
